Pony Camp at MDA

About Pony Camp:

MDA is pleased to offer 3 sessions of Pony Camp for the 2011 season. Session I will be held June 6-10th. Session II will be held July 11-15th. Session III will be held July 18-22nd.

Each day of camp will include grooming and tacking of one of our well-trained school horses for a mounted lesson. The riding lessons will work on improving riders’ balance and position as well as coordination with their horses in different riding patterns and exercises.

The remaining hours will be filled with both educational and recreational activities. Educational topics will range from horse breeds and colors to parts of the saddle. Each camper will receive a packet of materials that they will be able to take home at the end of the week. Recreational activities include horsey arts and crafts, games, and swimming.

Space is limited. We welcome both boy and girl campers, ages 7 and up. Beginners to advanced riders are welcome and will be given individual attention.

Fees and Registration

The fee for each session is $350. A $150 deposit if required to reserve a spot and should be included with the camp application. An Early Bird discount of 20% will be given to campers to register and pay in full by April 1st, 2011. Registration forms can be found at the top of this page. Time

Camp meets Monday – Friday, 10am to 3pm. Check-in is between 9:45 and 10am on Monday. Campers will perform a riding demonstration on Friday afternoon for family & friends.

NOTE: We have a tack shop on site to help you with all of your riding needs. We will offer a discount to campers.
