She enjoys breaking out babies all the way through training the Grand Prix on numerous clients horses as well as working her way up the levels on her own. She regularly attends clinics, shows and is very motivated about expanding her own knowledge through educational activities.

Jamie also believes in cross training, hacking out and making sure her horses stay physically sound and most importantly mentally happy. She takes personal pride that her horses love their jobs. She trains out of the world class facility Mid-South Dressage Academy in Hernando, MS training horses of all types and kinds and ones with difficult behavior issues as well. She has everything in her facility from Warmbloods, TB’s, QH’s, Friesians, ponies to her personal favorite Baroque horses.

She has ridden under numerous other clinicians and encourages her clients to ride with them as well.
Jamie’s past:

Jamie’s introduction to horses came very early through her mother and started in the hunter/jumper arena in 1993 taking lessons under BHS certified instructor Judy Tippett. Jamie then found dressage through eventing and eventually decided this was her passion.

In 2005, Jamie pursued this dream and became one of the youngest working students for International Dressage Judge Jayne Ayers where she took daily lessons under Mrs. Ayers as well as was in charge of riding all horses in the facility. Upon leaving Hearthstone Farms, Jamie was offered a wonderful opportunity to work for Loon Creek Enterprises to campaign their Trakehner stallion Malachi but also to be charge of training and selling their young horses. This business was based out of a successful barn in Millstadt, IL where she also ran her lesson program. Jamie competed Malachi successfully in jumpers and dressage and actually won the coveted American Trakehner Associations Annual Hunter Stakes.

In 2009, Jamie temporarily moved her business to Rolla, MO to finish up two undergraduate degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics at Missouri University of Science & Technology. Here she worked at a wonderful boarding facility and had great success in both training, teaching serious dressage students and showing on a regional and national level.

It was not long after graduation that Jamie came to show at MDA with clients and fell in love with not only the facility but the program that was beginning to blossom under Ms. Clifton. She decided pursuing a full time career in horses was truly what she wanted to do and she quickly packed up and moved to MDA having been offered the dream of a lifetime! She has now been at MDA since 2014 and has a successful, busy training and lesson program.
